About Us

Years ago the family moved to White Shore nestled along the coast. How couldn't we?

A simple seaside outing gone awry in late summer was how it all started. A happy accident that found us paddling in the rock pools, making friends with the gulls yet having a strange feeling that we had suddenly come home after being away somewhere else for far too long.

Whitewashed clapboard and grey slate sat back from the shoreline, while in front a small stretch of white sand nestled between the deep blue sea and the bright fresh sky.

Small white dunes with green grasses shift about in the fresh breeze while Old Faithful Lighthouse keeps a lazy eye on the flotsam that sometimes washes up with the driftwood.

The occasional coconut has been known to have washed up on the sand, amongst other things!

It wasn't long before the place was called home and smoke curling from the fat stone chimney was an everyday sight, from warm snapping fires to fresh cod or home baked pies warming on the range.

Some of the family set sail across the Atlantic to the beaches and harbours, rolling hills and lakes of the East Coast. Regular letters keep the family close, the thought of all of us swimming, sailing and shrimping in the same water, with the same fresh breeze whipping up an appetite.

We each have our own tastes and likes, our own way to make a house our home. Here at White Shore we like what we like, it's a simple country style mixed with Atlantic breeze that is simple to create and easy to change around.

We hope that we can offer you that same little something, be it an object or even an idea that might excite and inspire you to go out there and live it too.
